About us

 The ISCABC (previously ISSABC) is the International Student Conference on Animal Behaviour and Cognition. The name change from symposium to conference for this edition is due to its extension. The approach is the same as previous editions, seeking to address the topic from various angles but with a different duration and distribution of the topics.

We are an organization run by students, for students and as such our committee is made up entirely of student researchers at any level, from undergraduate to PhD.

We organize an international conference every two years focused on animal behavior and cognition. This conference aims to provide the opportunity for students and researchers with little professional experience to present and share their work with other students from different parts of the world at a similar stage in their careers by giving them a space that in more conventional conferences would be less accessible.

We focus on bringing the area of ​​animal behavior to all types of students, regardless of their racial, geographic or educational origin, as well as their gender orientation, sexual identity, socioeconomic status and any disability.

We have previously held three symposiums (Kyoto, London and Mexico City) and the last one on the list to be added is ISCABC 2025, which takes place in the city of Maceió, Brazil.
